Chrigel lands; Best Flying Sites of the Alps launches!

He's done it: Chrigel Maurer has just landed in Monaco to win the Red Bull X-Alps 2011!!

After crossing the entire European Alps using only his paraglider or his (very tired) feet, Chrigel probably doesn't need our new guidebook, Best Flying Sites of the Alps, but maybe you do! :o)

Toplanding on Mont Blanc

For the third time after 2003 and 2009 a few paragliding pilots were able to topland on Mont Blanc. It is with 4810m the highest mountain in Europe.

The first pilot on the summit was Clément Latour, our French importer and X-Alps athlete. After him 5 other pilots landed on the alpine peak.

RedBull X-Alps 2011: Maurer King of the skies!

After his second X-Alps victory Chrigel has piled ever more kudos on his legendary fame as king of the skies, and has once again become a centre of media attention. Team SUI1’s impressive performance in the 2011 Red Bull X-Alps is especially recognised because, not only did Chrigel win by two whole days over silver-placed Toma Coconea, but that he did this including a 24 hr penalty compulsory rest day.

In other words it’s intended for the majority of the kind of pilots that leave the hill and go exploring. We’ve been around a few years and we’ve seen the marketing hype before. We probably aren’t going to buy a wing without being outflown by it first, so it has to really deliver on its promises and be a pleasure to fly...

Team SUI 1 wins again – in their second time at the Red Bull X-Alps Chrigel Maurer and Thomas Theurillat win for the second time in a row. This time Chrigel landed on the raft in superior style.
